Gideon McMaster is an experienced and dedicated Advocate Counsel. He is a licensed Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public in the Province of Ontario and is also certified in Ontario as a Foreign Legal Consultant for the jurisdiction of Trinidad & Tobago. Gideon is a cross-border practitioner and is routinely engaged in contentious litigation both in the courts of Ontario, Canada and in the courts of Trinidad & Tobago.

Gideon obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with Honors from the University of London and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.

Gideon has a broad range of experience as a litigator and a demonstrable record of delivering professional and sophisticated courtroom advocacy, in the areas of Civil Litigation, Commercial Law and Criminal Defense.

Gideon has appeared before numerous adjudicating tribunals as Advocate Counsel, including the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Record in Ontario. Gideon also routinely appears in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal of Trinidad & Tobago.

Gideon also has considerable experience in the area of Criminal Law, having appeared as Advocate Counsel in numerous criminal trials. He has defended clients accused of serious crimes including; drug trafficking, money laundering, fraud and white-collar offences, homicide, sexual assault and other serious criminal matters and has an impressive success record.

Gideon is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Association of Trinidad & Tobago.
